The pastrami egg breakfast sandwich was amazing. I haven’t had such good pastrami in a while. I’m visiting from Nashville, but originally from California. The pastrami is really similar to that that they serve at The Hat (if you know you know). I’ve been looking for this flavor everywhere. Everyone was really nice, really peaceful environment for breakfast, and they also have hiking equipment and bikes in the back. The person at the desk was super helpful and recommended a couple of hikes in the area. Definitely a place to check out.
It is important to know that they weren’t the fastest, they were a little backed up because it was so crowded. Totally worth the wait.

On this rainy Saturday after visiting with Tina, decided to stop at Joe's Flat Iron Café here in downtown Skowhegan. Very relaxing place with great views & lots to offer. Had a medium Caramel Iced Coffee and Carrot Muffin. The Iced Coffee way better than Dunkin. The Carrot Muffin was full of flavor. Enjoyed very much and definitely recommend!👍 On National Hot Dog Day, Joe celebrated by offering 2 hot dogs & chips for $6. That was an amazing deal and wicked good! 😋🌭🌭

Great little place to eat or just have a cup of coffee. The atmosphere is wonderful. You can sit at a small table, a comfy chair, a booth or the couch. There is beautiful art on the walls done by local artists.

Great place in downtown Skowhegan! The atmosphere is delightfully eclectic, the service is friendly and efficient, and the food was great. I had the tuna salad on Texas toast and it was delicious. I went a second time and had the pastrami and it was excellent. Recommend to anyone looking for good food at a good price in a great place. Joe is there with a smile!

A cool little coffee shop in what appears to be a tiny little town. Clean and reasonably priced. I got a dirt chai and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich.

Honestly, I have *nothing* bad to say about this place! I stop here every time I'm in the area - always getting the Pistachio Iced Latte and often times the Pastrami Breakfast Sandwich too. I've enjoyed everything I've tried! The staff is very friendly, and the vibes are always good. Plenty of seating whether it's in the lounge area, at the bar, or "work" area.

I had seen online that they had gluten free options so me and my dad went and checked it out, the breakfast sandwich I had was amazing and I had no reaction, the coffee was great, I asked for almond milk and had no reactions there as well. I will DEFINITELY be visiting again!

We went there with some friends and we ordered coffee. I liked my coffee.
There are different areas you can sit, order food, drinks, or only coffee. Also, there are plenty of games to play or books to read.
Joe’s Flat Iron Cafe is a fun and cozy place that I recommend to try!
